We’re reaching out because you or your clients have used Bill Pay powered by Melio within QuickBooks Online Accountant or QuickBooks Online to make bill payments or manage your bills. We’re discontinuing this service in two phases, and are introducing a fully integrated Intuit solution, QuickBooks Bill Pay. Learn more about features, benefits and pricing here.

| When the Bill Pay powered by Melio service will be discontinued in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Accountant

Phase 1 - December 2023: Most customers will have the option to sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay on December 4, 2023 and will not be able to use Bill Pay powered by Melio in QuickBooks Online. If your clients are included in Phase 1, they will receive an email in early November informing them of the upcoming changes.

Phase 2 - 2024: All other customers and accountants that use Bill Pay powered by Melio will be able to continue using this service as they do today until 2024, and then sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay. You and your clients will be notified about any upcoming changes at least 30 days in advance.

What your clients can expect from the Melio discontinuation
Information sync: Vendor information like business name, address, and payment details will be available in QuickBooks. No need to enter it again. Info about past paid bills is also accessible in QuickBooks. If your client chooses to sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay, there may be a short onboarding, including reconnecting their bank account.

| Payments: You won’t be able to schedule any new bill payments through Bill Pay powered by Melio once it is discontinued in QuickBooks. However, any existing scheduled bill payments will still be paid through June 18, 2024. If you want to edit or cancel a recurring payment, follow these steps in the section Information about previously paid or scheduled bills.

Intuit’s very own bill pay solution, QuickBooks Bill Pay, offers the ability to pay vendors and contractors with the automation and ease you expect from QuickBooks. We offer 3 plans with varying features. QuickBooks Bill Pay Basic includes 5 free standard ACH transactions per month*, and no additional subscription fee. QuickBooks Bill Pay Premium offers unlimited 1099 filings and includes 40 free ACH transactions per month*, and QuickBooks Bill Pay Elite includes all the features of QuickBooks Bill Pay Premium and in addition, unlimited ACH transactions per month, custom bill approval workflows, and predefined roles** and permissions.
