An email was sent out to our QuickBooks® Online Advanced customers on May 18, 2022, announcing upcoming changes to QuickBooks Advanced and Smart Reporting by Fathom:
We’re reaching out to provide early notice of upcoming changes to Smart Reporting by Fathom (“Fathom”), the offering that currently comes with QuickBooks Online Advanced.
Changes impacting users:
● On Aug. 1, 2022, access to Fathom will no longer be included as a part of your QuickBooks Online Advanced subscription. Users can continue to use Fathom by updating your subscription in your Fathom organization settings, or by purchasing it directly at https://www.fathomhq.com/, at any time prior to this date.
● Fathom will keep your data until Oct. 31, 2022. After that, it will be deleted if you choose not to set up an account with Fathom. If you choose not to set up an account with Fathom, you can export your data from Fathom before Aug. 1, 2022.
● As of June 1, 2022, we will no longer be offering Fathom with new purchases of QuickBooks Online Advanced.
● If you have an existing paid Fathom subscription, or if you had one before transferring it to QuickBooks Online Advanced, your subscription will revert to standard pricing on Aug. 1, 2022. Standard pricing applies if you choose to continue your Fathom subscription with Fathom directly.
● You won’t be able to access your account after Aug. 1, 2022 without entering payment details with Fathom.
If you’ve never had a paid Fathom subscription, you're eligible for Fathom’s introductory offer of $25 per month for six months, saving over 40% on standard pricing. You can sign up for this offer in your Fathom organization settings today, and still enjoy access to Fathom at no additional cost until Aug. 1, 2022. What is the reason for this change?
As QuickBooks Online Advanced has evolved and grown the last few years, we have greatly improved our capabilities around data and insights. The additions and enhancements of Spreadsheet Sync, Custom Report Builder, and the Performance Center in QuickBooks Online Advanced has enhanced the ability of our customers to track and report on the most important data to manage and grow their business.
Can I get a longer grace period before losing access to Fathom?
Per the terms of our contract with Fathom, we do not have the ability to offer a longer grace period.
What will happen to my data?
Fathom will keep your data until Oct. 31, 2022. After that, it'll be deleted if you choose not to set up an account with Fathom. If you choose not to set up an account with Fathom, you can export your data from Fathom before Aug. 1, 2022.
